How can getting a soothing and relaxing massage help you lose weight? Well, massage therapy could be an excellent way to relax and relieve some of the tension put on our bodies by certain exercises or even the daily grind. But, how does it help us lose weight? You ask…
Dieting could be frustrating now a days. A lot of people suffer through the diet and exercise routine getting little results and massage therapy is a great way to not only deal with the stress and tension of the mind but also the body. When you are trying to lose weight, massage therapy can be a great stimulant and enhancer of any diet and exercise program you are involved in. If you think about it, a good massage will loosen up the muscles, improves circulation and is a very delightful way to spend any part of your day.
I’m sure we have all come home from work or after a long workout and felt the tension in your muscles. They are tense because of the rigorous activities you do all throughout the day. Stress from your daily life could way heavy on your muscles. A massage will help ease muscle tension, helps alleviate muscle pain and loosens the muscle so they become more durable and are not easily injured. Message therapy helps keep the muscle’s in top shape and makes it easy to exercise safely and comfortably.
Massage therapy is very beneficial to the body’s circulation. Not just blood flow, but when exercising your muscles release Lactic Acid’s and Carbonic Acid‘s. Lactic Acid is a water – soluble liquid produced during muscle contraction. Carbonic Acid is the stuff that gives you that burning sensation when you drink a soda or a fizzy drink. The build up of these acids can cause muscle tension and soreness. Massaging the muscle eliminates these acids and helps cleanse the body.
Massage therapy is also a great way to reduce water weight and bloating. When attempting to lose weight sometimes just losing a couple of pounds in water weight is all we need to stay focused and motivated. Massage therapy works well for water weight and bloating because bodily fluids are moved around the body during a massage.
I know through experience that losing weight can be frustrating and difficult. Sometimes the “up hill battle” is just that, all up hill. But that doesn’t mean we cant pull to the side and enjoy ourselves once in a while. Remember to work hard and stay focused and don’t forget to stop and smell the rose’s. Splurge a little bit and massage those muscles. Hope this has been helpful. Good Luck!
